Google and TED Open Global Search for Educators Using Technology
Google and TED launched a global search highlighting educators who use technology to improve classroom learning.
What happened
For World Teachers’ Day 2026, Google showcased educators using technology to explain complex concepts, create engaging lessons and support critical thinking. Google also partnered with TED on a global idea search for educators innovating with technology. Selected participants will have the opportunity to present their ideas on the TED stage after joining the Idea Workshop.
Why it matters
The initiative puts teachers’ experience at the centre of education technology, while giving selected educators a platform to share ideas about technology-led learning.
