NASA Covers Northrop Grumman Cygnus XL Departure From Space Station
Northrop Grumman’s Cygnus XL spacecraft is scheduled to leave the International Space Station after delivering more than 11,000 pounds of cargo.
What happened
Cygnus XL, operated by Northrop Grumman under NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services-24 mission, is scheduled to undock from the International Space Station on Friday, October 9. The spacecraft delivered more than 11,000 pounds of supplies, science experiments, and other cargo. NASA will provide live coverage of its departure from 12:30.
Why it matters
The departure marks the completion of Cygnus XL’s reported cargo-delivery phase for this NASA resupply mission, including supplies and scientific payloads sent to the station.
