RBI Opens 75th Manufacturing Survey for July–September 2026
The RBI has launched its 75th quarterly survey tracking manufacturing orders, inventories and capacity utilisation.
What happened
The Reserve Bank of India has begun its Order Books, Inventories and Capacity Utilisation Survey for July–September 2026, covering the second quarter of 2026-27. Selected manufacturing companies will be contacted, while other manufacturers can participate by submitting the RBI questionnaire. Company-level responses will remain confidential, and the findings will support monetary policy formulation.
Why it matters
The survey will provide the RBI with updated evidence on manufacturing demand, inventories, production and spare capacity for monetary policy decisions.
