Scindia to lead Mizoram development push, bankers’ conclave October 12-13
Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will lead development programmes and open a banking conclave during his October Mizoram visit.
What happened
Communications and Northeast Region Development Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia will visit Mizoram on October 12 and 13, 2026, for development programmes, student interactions and meetings with social organisations. He will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for projects at Tuivamit, then open North East Bankers Conclave 3.0 at Mizoram University, focused on financial inclusion, credit access and regional growth.
Why it matters
The conclave places banks at the centre of efforts to expand financial inclusion and credit availability across the Northeast, supporting the region’s stated economic-development goals.
