Google Rolls Out Gemini 4 Argon With New Cybersecurity Safeguards

Google is broadly rolling out Gemini 4 Argon after testing its cyberdefense capabilities and safety controls.

What happened

Google said Gemini 4 Argon is beginning a broad rollout, alongside expanded access for trusted cyber defenders through its Fairwind Program. In testing, it solved all 12 simulated end-to-end cyberattacks, versus five for the previous generation. Google also added real-time protections against harmful requests, jailbreaks, prompt injection and boundary violations.

Why it matters

Argon gives cyber defenders a stronger tool for finding software vulnerabilities, while Google’s safeguards are designed to limit misuse in cybersecurity and biological applications.
