NGMA’s Sculpture Exhibition Opens Sales to Artists Alongside 250 Works
NGMA has opened Takshanam, showcasing more than 250 sculptures and artworks by 150 artists in New Delhi.
What happened
Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat inaugurated Takshanam at the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi. The exhibition brings together more than 250 works by 150 artists across generations and styles. For the first time, NGMA has also launched an initiative to sell exhibited artworks, connecting artists with collectors and art enthusiasts.
Why it matters
The sales initiative creates a direct route to buyers and new financial support for artists, especially in sculpture, where materials and production require substantial investment.
