What happened
Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan addressed My Bharat volunteers from seven states at a Vande Mataram anniversary programme in Bhopal, where participants also planted trees. He called My Bharat a platform for developing socially responsible youth and urged them to check facts before forwarding social media content. He also backed the strictest punishment for crimes against women and faster judicial processes.
Why it matters
The minister linked careless social media use to misinformation, disputes and social unrest, while framing youth participation as part of nation-building and civic responsibility.
