Jaipur Exporters Get Guidance to Use India’s Free-Trade Deals
Commerce officials held a Jaipur programme to help exporters convert free-trade agreement benefits into overseas market access.
What happened
The Commerce Department held a Jaipur awareness programme for exporters on using India’s free-trade agreements. Officials and industry representatives discussed tariff preferences, rules of origin, quality certification, export documentation and buyer outreach. A sector presentation highlighted jewellery opportunities, including immediate duty-free access across tariff categories under recently concluded agreements, subject to each agreement’s provisions.
