India’s Ayush Ministry Promotes Ayurveda’s Holistic Approach to Menopause Health
The Ayush Ministry is promoting awareness, preventive care and research-led Ayurvedic approaches to menopause health ahead of October 18, 2026.
What happened
The Ayush Ministry, through the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences, highlighted menopause as a natural life stage requiring preventive care and attention to physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. It promoted diet, lifestyle guidance, yoga, counselling and rejuvenation therapies, while saying research will assess traditional formulations such as Ashokarishta and Amalaki Rasayana.
Why it matters
The initiative frames menopause care as a broader health issue, while the ministry’s emphasis on scientific validation signals that evidence-building remains central to its Ayurvedic approach.
