Spain’s First AI Factory Gives Startups Access to Sovereign Compute
Barcelona Supercomputing Center’s accelerator is now fully operational, expanding startups’ access to compute, technical support and training.
What happened
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center’s AI Factory Accelerator Programme has moved beyond its pilot and is now fully operational. Startups can access sovereign compute, technical support and training, with some services available through NVIDIA’s Inception portal. The AI Factory has delivered more than 800 services to private and public-sector clients since launching in April 2025.
Why it matters
The programme gives startups access to advanced computing infrastructure and support that can accelerate applications across water management, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, agriculture and enterprise technology.
