Rehabilitation Support Helps Delhi Beneficiary Regain Emotional Stability and Family Responsibility
India’s national drug-demand reduction plan provided a Delhi beneficiary treatment, psychological care and structured rehabilitation support.
What happened
Rahul Kumar, a 32-year-old South Delhi beneficiary, received inpatient treatment, medical care, counselling and psychological support through the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction. The rehabilitation centre’s structured and supportive environment helped him manage his emotions and behaviour better. He is now more emotionally stable and more prepared to take responsibility for his family, although no specific income improvement was reported.
Why it matters
The case shows that sustained treatment and rehabilitation support can improve emotional stability and help people move towards greater self-reliance and stronger family relationships.
