Google Cloud Brings NVIDIA Vera Rubin Instances To Customers Next Month

Google Cloud will make NVIDIA Vera Rubin-based A5X instances generally available next month, with planned expansion to Europe.

What happened

A5X instances combine NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 GPUs, ConnectX-9 networking, Google Cloud’s Virgo Network and advanced liquid cooling. They are designed for large-scale AI training, inference and reinforcement learning. Google Cloud plans to expand Vera Rubin infrastructure across multiple sites, potentially reaching 960,000 Rubin GPUs. Ineffable Intelligence was the first customer to access A5X.

Why it matters

Cloud customers gain an integrated platform for demanding agentic AI and reinforcement-learning workloads, while planned European availability broadens access to the infrastructure.
