India’s ACE 2032 Course Targets More Women Coaches and Tennis Pathways

A women-only coaching course seeks to widen women’s participation, training and leadership opportunities across Indian tennis.

What happened

Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Khadse urged wider opportunities for women in Indian sports at an All India Tennis Association coaching course in New Delhi. Held under the ACE 2032 initiative with ministry and Sports Authority support, the programme focused on coach education, talent identification and athlete development. ASMITA women’s leagues, launched in 2021, have reached more than 300,000 women.

Why it matters

More certified women coaches can improve access and participation for girls while creating professional routes in coaching, sports science, administration and event management.
