Uttar Pradesh hosts two-day labour-code compliance programme for employers
The Centre and Uttar Pradesh will hold a two-day labour reforms awareness programme in Lucknow on October 26-27, 2026.
What happened
The Labour and Employment Ministry, with Uttar Pradesh, will hold the state-level programme under its 90-day Shram Samvad campaign. Sessions will cover all four labour codes, social security for unorganised and gig workers, ESIC and EPFO, technology platforms, and compliance requirements. Open discussions will address operational and regulatory questions from industry stakeholders and participants.
Why it matters
Employers and other stakeholders will receive guidance on labour-code applicability, statutory compliance and implementation, while workers’ social-security measures remain a central focus.
