Goyal Uses Rotterdam Port Visit to Deepen India-Netherlands Trade Ties

What happened
During his Netherlands visit on October 25, 2026, Piyush Goyal met maritime and logistics stakeholders in Rotterdam, including the Port of Rotterdam’s CEO. He also met about 70 Indian community members in Amsterdam. The port visit highlighted the Netherlands’ role as an entry point for Indian goods into Europe, particularly as an India-EU free trade agreement is expected to create new export opportunities.

European port access, logistics infrastructure and connectivity could help Indian exporters expand into European markets and strengthen India-Europe supply chains.
