What happened
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Reserve Bank of India’s new data centre and cybersecurity training institute in Bhubaneswar. He said the facilities would help make banking more efficient and reliable, while improving protection against cybercriminals and cyberterrorists. “The role of this new cybersecurity institute becomes extremely important,” Modi said.

The facilities strengthen the infrastructure and trained workforce supporting India’s financial system as digital banking expands and cyber threats increasingly target economies.
