New Jaipur–Jamshedpur–Kolkata train strengthens rail links across five states
India launched a new express service linking Jaipur with Tatanagar and Santragachi, improving connectivity across five states.
What happened
The Jaipur (Khatipura)–Tatanagar–Santragachi Express was inaugurated by Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari. The service links Rajasthan with Jharkhand and West Bengal, while improving rail connectivity across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Vaishnaw said it will benefit migrant workers, businesses, students and other travellers using the route.
Why it matters
The new service expands travel access between major regions for workers, traders and students, while supporting more affordable passenger connectivity across five states.
