Google Photos adds AI editing, wardrobe tools and new templates
Google Photos has added five tools for editing, organising and sharing summer memories, with availability varying by feature and market.
What happened
Google Photos introduced five updates: Photos in Gemini Spark can select, brighten and share family portraits from a single prompt; Wardrobe catalogs clothing in photos and supports virtual styling and try-ons; Moods adds adaptive looks including 35mm film and 2000s digicam styles; 15 Remix templates turn images into formats such as birthday cards and photo-booth shots; and an upgraded Markup tool adds a redact pen, thickness controls and new fonts. Gemini Spark is available to eligible Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the U.S. Wardrobe is available to eligible Android and iOS users in the U.S., India and Brazil, while other tools have separate Android, iOS and country restrictions.

The update expands Google Photos from storage and basic editing into AI-assisted curation, styling and privacy-focused markup. Access depends on subscription, device, age and location, with Wardrobe specifically reaching users in India.
