NVIDIA Qualifies Power, Cooling Products for AI Factories
NVIDIA launched DSX Ready, qualifying battery storage and cooling products against AI factory reference-design requirements.
What happened
NVIDIA introduced DSX Ready, a qualification programme for partner products that meet applicable requirements in its DSX AI factory reference designs. It launches with two categories: battery energy storage systems and cooling distribution units. Qualified BESS solutions come from Hitachi Energy, LG Energy Solution and Tesla; qualified CDU solutions come from LG Electronics, LiquidStack and Vertiv. BESS providers undergo required tests and submit supporting data for NVIDIA review, while CDU providers use a self-qualification suite. Qualification does not replace site-level engineering or establish site-level stability. NVIDIA plans to add infrastructure and software categories over time.
Why it matters
Builders get a defined way to identify and assess compatible power and cooling products, while suppliers gain a formal route to demonstrate compliance. The programme is designed to improve evaluation confidence and reduce integration risk.
