Android Enterprise is adding AI, XR, desktop, sharing and security controls for managed workforces in 2026.
What happened
Android Enterprise is introducing new tools in 2026 to help IT teams support productivity while protecting corporate data. Gemini will handle complex, multi-step tasks using on-screen context, while work-profile safeguards keep personal and business data separate and administrators can restrict or disable AI automation. IT teams will also manage XR devices, including Samsung Galaxy XR and XREAL Aura glasses, through enterprise mobility consoles. Supported Android devices will extend to external monitors with desktop-style multitasking. Other updates include controlled Quick Share transfers, centralized system-update policies, and stronger hardware, patch, local-network and certificate security.
Why it matters
Companies can expand managed access to AI, XR hardware and external displays without giving up existing work-profile, update and security controls. That gives IT clearer oversight across a broader device and software fleet.
