Google launches five premium Googlebooks from $899 with AI subscriptions
Google has launched five premium laptops with advanced processors, long battery life, and bundled AI and creative software subscriptions.
What happened
Google launched five premium Googlebook laptops, priced from $899, with pre-orders open through the Google Store, Best Buy, and select retailers. The lineup includes models from Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo, including a convertible and a 15-inch productivity-focused laptop. Devices use aluminum, magnesium alloy, or carbon fiber, with touchscreens reaching 2.8K resolution. Processor options include Intel Core Ultra Series 3 and Snapdragon X Elite chips, supported by NPUs delivering more than 45 TOPS of on-device AI performance. All models start with 16GB of RAM, offer up to 14 hours of video playback, and include 12 months of Google AI Pro. U.S. retail sales begin October 4, followed by select international markets on October 5.

The launch gives premium-laptop buyers five hardware choices starting at $899, while bundling 12 months of Google AI Pro, 5TB of cloud storage, and additional software benefits. Google is also promising operating-system updates for up to 10 years.
