Googlebook Opens Pre-Orders With Built-In Gemini Intelligence From $899
Google has opened Googlebook pre-orders, offering built-in Gemini features and bundled subscriptions from $899.
What happened
Googlebook integrates Gemini directly into the laptop through features including Magic Pointer, Rambler voice dictation, Create My Widget, and Google Antigravity. Magic Pointer can analyze on-screen text and images, schedule tasks, assess suspicious emails, and combine visuals. Rambler turns unstructured speech into organized notes, action items, and lists, while supporting multiple languages in one sentence. Create My Widget lets users build custom tools without coding. Developers get a Linux terminal and can deploy apps through Antigravity. Pre-orders start at $899, with shipments beginning October 4 in the U.S. and October 5 in Canada, the U.K., Ireland, France, Germany, and Australia.
Why it matters
The $899 base price includes 12 months of Google AI Pro, 5TB of cloud storage, and higher Gemini usage limits. Buyers also receive three months of YouTube Premium and Adobe Photoshop, alongside software updates for up to 10 years.
