Googlebook Opens Pre-Orders for Premium Android Laptops Starting at $899
Google has opened pre-orders for Googlebook laptops, built to sync with Android phones and featuring Gemini AI tools.
What happened
Google has launched Googlebook, a new line of premium laptops designed around Android phone integration. Pre-orders are open through the Google Store, Best Buy and select retailers, with prices starting at $899. Devices reach U.S. shelves on October 4 and launch in Canada, the U.K., Ireland, France, Germany and Australia on October 5. Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP and Lenovo will build the initial models. Features include phone settings, messages and files syncing; Gemini tools such as Magic Pointer, Rambler and Create My Widget; displays up to 2.8K OLED; processors from Intel and Qualcomm; and battery life of up to 14 hours.
Why it matters
Google is positioning Android-connected laptops against established premium computers, combining phone continuity, on-device AI and desktop software at a $899 starting price. Buyers also receive 12 months of Google AI Pro and updates for up to 10 years.
