Employers Get Labour-Code Guidance At Okhla Awareness Programme
The labour ministry held an Okhla programme explaining new labour codes, employer compliance duties and social-security schemes.
What happened
The Ministry of Labour and Employment, with FICCI and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, conducted a district-level “Shram Samvad” programme in New Delhi’s Okhla Industrial Estate. It covered labour codes implemented on 21 November 2025, Central Rules notified on 8 May 2026, employer obligations and social-security schemes. More than 100 employers, industry representatives and professionals participated.
Why it matters
The programme gave employers practical guidance on compliance under the new framework, while explaining employment-generation and pension schemes relevant to workers and businesses.
