Fed, FDIC Clear Resolution Plans for 15 Large Banking Organizations

Federal regulators found no shortcomings in resolution plans submitted by 15 banking organizations with more than $250 billion in assets.

What happened

The Federal Reserve and FDIC published feedback on resolution plans submitted in October 2025. Their joint review found no shortcomings or deficiencies across the 15 plans, which cover how banks would be resolved during severe financial distress or failure. The agencies also said BNP Paribas had satisfactorily addressed a shortcoming identified in its 2021 plan.

Why it matters

The 15 covered banking organizations face no regulator-identified deficiencies in these submissions, while BNP Paribas has resolved its earlier plan shortcoming.
