Google’s Gemini 4 Argon Opens Long-Horizon AI Workflows To Trusted Testers

Google has introduced Gemini 4 Argon, a frontier model initially available to trusted cyber defenders through a phased rollout.

What happened

Gemini 4 Argon is designed for complex, multi-step work in software engineering, legal and financial research, and cybersecurity. Its output limit rises to 1 million tokens from 64,000. Google is initially releasing it through the Fairwind Program, with broader access planned after further safety testing. Introductory pricing is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens.

Why it matters

The model is positioned to handle longer professional workflows, including autonomous vulnerability discovery and patching, while phased access limits availability to developers, enterprises, and consumers.
