NASA, Canada and Germany Advance Work on Lunar Crop Demonstrator
NASA, Canada and Germany will coordinate preparatory work on an Earth-based demonstrator for growing crops on the Moon.
What happened
NASA, the Canadian Space Agency and the German Aerospace Center signed a joint statement of intent. They will begin coordinated preparatory work toward an Earth-based demonstrator designed to help researchers learn how crops could be grown on the Moon. The planned demonstrator will operate on Earth, while addressing lunar crop cultivation.
Why it matters
