Law Ministry Officials Clean Safdarjung Tomb Under Swachhata Campaign

India’s Law Ministry led a cleanliness drive at Delhi’s Safdarjung Tomb, involving officials, lawyers and sanitation workers.

What happened

On October 1, 2026, Law Ministry departments organised voluntary cleaning work at New Delhi’s Safdarjung Tomb under Special Campaign 6 and Swachhata Hi Seva 2026. Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal led the initiative, joined by senior officials, legal experts and government panel lawyers. The minister also honoured a senior participant and presented sanitation kits to ministry cleaning staff.

Why it matters

The programme reinforces the government’s stated push to make cleanliness a continuing public habit involving institutions, officials and citizens, rather than an occasional activity.
