NVIDIA pitches versatile AI factories to lift returns and extend hardware life
NVIDIA says productive, durable and flexible AI factories can improve earnings, extend hardware usefulness and broaden demand for computing capacity.
What happened
NVIDIA estimates a one-megawatt AI factory costs roughly $60 million, making earning capacity, hardware life and demand central to returns. It says Vera Rubin NVL72 systems deliver more than 30 times GB300’s throughput per megawatt and up to 45 times lower token costs on DeepSeek V4 Pro. NVIDIA also cites A100 GPUs remaining commercially useful six years after launch.
Why it matters
Higher throughput can raise revenue within fixed power limits, while longer hardware life and broader workloads can keep expensive infrastructure productive as AI demand changes.
