Sophie Adenot Completes Three Spacewalks in Under 15 Days
ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot completed three spacewalks, spending nearly 20 hours outside the International Space Station.
What happened
In fewer than 15 days, Sophie Adenot completed three extravehicular activities and spent 19 hours and 42 minutes outside the International Space Station. She and her crewmates replaced critical Station hardware, installed a communications antenna, performed maintenance and prepared experiments for future work. Adenot led her third spacewalk as the EV1 astronaut.
Why it matters
The work supported critical Station hardware and communications while preparing experiments for future activity, demonstrating the operational demands of space-based maintenance.
