Gemini 3.8 Flash Powers Satellite Maps and Interactive 3D Models
Google says developers are using Gemini 3.8 Flash to build simulations, visual experiments, and interactive engineering models.
What happened
Google released Gemini 3.8 Flash for complex reasoning and software engineering, highlighting four community projects. Developers used it to map live satellite and rocket paths, animate a Japanese pattern, generate a T. rex skeleton with accuracy checks, and build an interactive automatic-transmission model with 10 camera views and four display modes.
Why it matters
The model adds deeper multistep reasoning and iterative tool use while retaining Flash-level latency, and Google says it can approach higher-cost frontier-model performance.
