Ring Road inspection finds 17 dust and construction-waste violations

Delhi’s air-quality commission found 17 dust and construction-waste violations across 25 Ring Road sections.

What happened

The Commission for Air Quality Management inspected about 35 kilometres across 25 inner and outer Ring Road sections in Delhi on October 3, 2026. Four flying squads assessed visible dust and road-cleaning effectiveness. They found 17 violations involving excessive dust and construction-and-demolition waste accumulation, prompting corrective-action instructions to the Public Works Department and other agencies.

Why it matters

Dust and construction waste can be resuspended by traffic, worsening ambient air quality. Road-management agencies must prioritise cleaning, waste removal and dust-control measures.
