Gemini Notebook adds voice chats, quizzes and free student access
Google is adding voice conversations, lecture recording, interactive study tools and temporary premium access for eligible college students.
What happened
Gemini Notebook is rolling out real-time voice conversations in its mobile apps, a new audio recorder for lectures, interactive quizzes and flashcards, and roughly 60-second video summaries in more than 80 languages. Eligible U.S. college students can claim Google AI Pro free for one year, while eligible students in more than 140 other markets can receive Google AI Plus.
Why it matters
Students can turn notes, lectures and source material into guided conversations and study exercises. The offers also provide higher usage limits without an upfront subscription cost during the free year.
