Apple Rolls Out Siri AI Beta, But EU And China Miss Launch
Apple has released Siri AI in English beta, while delaying access in the EU and China over regulatory requirements.
What happened
Apple released Siri AI with personal-context understanding, onscreen awareness, web knowledge and expanded app actions across its 2027 software updates. The assistant is initially available in English beta, with French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish planned for next month. It will not initially launch in the EU or China, and some server-based features have daily usage limits.
Why it matters
Availability is fragmented by market, while usage limits apply to key AI features. Apple says expanded access to server-based capabilities will eventually be offered for a fee.
