RBI Extends Restrictions on Sadbhav Nagrik Cooperative Bank to January
The RBI extended its directive against Sadbhav Nagrik Sahakari Bank for three months, subject to review, until January 7, 2027.
What happened
The Reserve Bank of India extended its directive against Sadbhav Nagrik Sahakari Bank Maryadit, Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, for three months beyond October 7, 2026. The directive will now remain in force until the close of business on January 7, 2027, subject to review. Other terms remain unchanged, and the extension does not indicate satisfaction with the bank’s financial position.
Why it matters
The bank remains under RBI-imposed restrictions for an additional three months. The RBI has explicitly said the extension should not be read as approval of its financial position.
