Google Opens Global AI-Content Detector To Everyone In English
Google has globally opened SynthID Detector, enabling anyone to check AI-generated images, videos, and audio.
What happened
Google’s SynthID Detector is now available worldwide in English, after an earlier version was offered to media professionals. Anyone can use it to check whether images, videos, or audio were created with AI from Google or partners including OpenAI, NVIDIA, Kakao, and soon Apple. Google says SynthID has watermarked more than 180 billion images and videos.

The tool gives users broader access to provenance information, helping them make more informed decisions about online content and what to trust.
