At Gemini at Work 2026, Google Cloud announced the Gemini agent, a universal work assistant that plans tasks, selects models, uses tools, and connects with customers’ business systems. It can support knowledge work, questions, content creation, and coding from one prompt, returning finished work inside documents, inboxes, and developer environments. Enterprise controls include cost management, security, administration, and governance.
