Google Maps brings craving search, trending lists and dining tips

Google Maps now offers craving-based search, weekly restaurant lists and community tips for planning meals.

What happened

Google Maps has added three tools for discovering restaurants. Ask Maps matches typed or spoken cravings using billions of photos, reviews and menus, and supports delivery ordering through partners including Uber Eats, Toast and Square. The Explore tab offers weekly Trending, Gems and Top dining lists, while community tips cover reservations, parking and recommended dishes.

Why it matters

The update combines restaurant discovery, ordering and practical local information in one app, reducing the steps users need to choose and arrange a meal.
